THE VSU RADIO PARTNERSHIP CAMPAIGN:
In order to prove that we have substantial backing and our concerns deserve mainstream coverage, we need to put our money where our mouth is!
We are asking members to join our VSU Media Team

As monthly donors to our media campaign, Media Team members will have their own space on the Vermont Back Porch where they can gather and share their input and guidance on our radio show content and other advertising campaigns.
We are also looking for business owners and other non-profits who would like to advertise their products and services during our time slots.
By sponsoring our Wednesday & Thursday programs, VSU will be able to advertise during the shows and at other times.

Advertise What?
Access to the airwaves is crucial for the many initiatives we need to get the word out about. We can invite guests that help spread our message, conduct public awareness campaigns (such as Questions to Ask Your Pediatrician), advertise our events (such the Covid Public Hearing and the film premiere of 15 Days) and our social media platform, the Vermont Back Porch.
Why Radio?
Over the past two years VSU has partnered with radio stations across the state to advertise our programs and events. We have found that Vermont’s independently-owned radio stations are the last refuge for open debate on the subjects we care about.
As a result of these partnerships, we’ve been invited back on the air for interviews, allowing us to greatly expand our membership and legitimize our message.
Why Now?
2026 is an election year and there is no better time to raise our voices and promote our message so that representatives who are running for office will pay attention to our concerns.
You can Join Our Media Team by Donating to Our Cause
How You Can Help:
1. Become a Monthly Donor: Make a monthly donation of $25, $50, $100 or $250
Your monthly donation will help us meet our monthly sponsorship obligation.
2. Make a One-Time Donation: Any Amount
Donations of any size will help us meet our goal.
Our First Initiative:
Our sponsorship of Alison & Amy’s Hot Off the Press episodes on WDEV will cost between $200-$400 per month.
Any additional funds we raise will be used to conduct advertising campaigns on other stations throughout the state. For example, we’d like to conduct a series of Questions to Ask Your Pediatrician ads to inform parents about vaccine safety and liability.

* LEARN MORE:

WDEV is one of the state’s few remaining independently-owned commercial radio stations, serving Central & Northern Vermont. (WDEV listening options).
The station’s 5 Radio Towers transmit a range of opinions and viewpoints over the aiwaves, including several locally produced programs.
In operation since 1931, WDEV is well-respected by state and local representatives and listened to by sports-fans, families, retirees, farmers and working folks.

I am very excited to bring you this opportunity. The ground is fertile and the seeds are in our hands- all we have to do now is sow them in the ground where they can grow.
PLEASE let me know if you have any suggestions and/or questions.
Sincerely,
Amy Hornblas, Director
