Our Mission is to promote awareness, education and effective action on issues that impact the health and prosperity of all Vermonters.
With a focus on the pursuit of truth and balance in information, civic accountability and justice, health autonomy, and trust between neighbors– Vermont Stands Up aims to provide guidance, and outlets of support for community action.
We believe that Vermonters can work together to improve our health and the viability of our social, economic, and ecological environments. Our goal is to work together with our neighbors to exercise our civic duty to hold our elected officials, as well as private entities, accountable for all actions or in-actions that may result in damage to our health and well-being.

Our Members:
We are diverse Vermonters from all corners of the state united in the fundamental belief that- whether in periods of relative tranquility or periods of turmoil and uncertainty- life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness remain forever inalienable and foundational to our democratic values and practices.
Any Vermonter– regardless of race, ethnicity, political affiliation, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, vaccination status, or any other distinction- is welcome to unite with us for freedom. We cannot continue to fall prey to those scheming to intentionally divide us.
We began building a culture for the real voice of Vermonters during the Covid crisis. The ensuing mandates, school and business closures, sanctioned discrimination against the unvaccinated, and threats to informed consent and bodily autonomy led to the creation of Vermont Stands Up.
Above all, we are human beings capable of compassion, empathy, and love for one another. It is a time to put aside our differences and come together to fight for our most fundamental human rights.
What We Do:
Preserving freedom has been portrayed by many within the current political environment as selfish and detracting from what is important. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Freedom is the foundation upon which this nation is built, and it is our duty and privilege to protect our fundamental liberties while also demanding our elected leaders be held accountable and shown that even in times of crises they cannot act with impunity.
Vermont Stands Up organizes events designed to bring our neighbor’s concerns to the table, in the statehouse and beyond.
We believe that everyone’s voice has value.
Too many of our neighbor’s voices are left out of the mainstream debate and ignored by mainstream media.
Through our dedicated efforts we’ve been able to bring our members’ voices inside the statehouse and united them with representatives and other community leaders who care.
We’ve also been able to bring their concerns onto the airwaves where they can be heard, understood and supported by the wider community.

1.) Are all VSU members anti-vaxxers?
Our members have made a range of decisions about whether to vaccinate themselves and their families. Whether you believe all vaccines are good, all are harmful, or somewhere in-between, you are welcome to join us, as long as you respect your neighbor’s right to make their own decisions, as well.
FYI: The term “anti-vaxxer” is used to divide people and close minds. VSU offers a remedy to that division: Our members are United in Freedom. That includes the right to make our own health care decisions. It is only through open debate that we can achieve Informed Consent.
2.) Is Health Choice this group’s only focus?
Vermont Stands Up was founded during the Covid lock-downs, so health choice was its top priority to begin with.
However, as our members came together and realized how diverse we were, we found that what united us was our concern about encroachments onto our personal freedoms from ALL fronts.
Therefore, Vermont Stands Up is focused on keeping our members updated and engaged in all the areas where our freedoms are experiencing a full-frontal attack, from health choice to land-use issues, school choice to digital ID and energy issues, and so much more.
We need to stay united on all fronts if we are going to remain free.
